@Bill C -- totally agree. My first thought when Brady asked if I wanted to do one was, "I suck at this format". I knew that going in, but figured I'll never improve if I don't try again, and it's only five minutes of pain for the audience. As for the "surprised at my slides" -- yes, part of the fun/pain of Ignite is that the slides change without you.
I keep thinking of Ignite as just an abbreviated version of a bigger talk, but it's something completely different, and I'm hoping that if I ever do this again, I'll figure out what that means! In the meantime, it's a great reminder for me about how it feels to do things you REALLY aren't good at.
